I’m so sorry that happened to you. I certainly didn’t mean to imply that old people are incablable of molesting children. I just suspect that the odds/numbers decrease as people get older with less sex drive and become more isolated.

Nothing in that article contradicts mine. Recidivism (specifically other instances of child molestation) are very low, though the rate of over all crime (e.g. a non sex crime) is higher. Convicted sex offenders are more likely than non-sex offenders to be arrested for a sex crime, but that’s, of course, expected.
