I think you may have sold the 4C to me.
I think you may have sold the 4C to me.
From what I understand of the development of the car it was a packaging issue. The car is wide enough as it is, and the use of struts in the rear is a compromise to get the powertrain to fit.
Neat :)
Here in the UK, Land Rover Defender.
That was the first one I ever watched. Got me hooked too :)
I was weighing up whether to post this one or the 'vette kart. Tricky choice :)

Props for using what looks to be a Bristol in the lead image for car recommendations. Setright would be proud...
Personally I don't really see the problem with Lotus making an SUV. I've been waiting for someone to make a lightweight Baja-style offroad sports car for a while now. Seems like a market that's pretty much untapped.
How old is old?
This sort of thing comes up time and again when companies try to make challengers to market segment leaders. They make something that's really promising, has a load of great features that makes it a genuine proposition against market leader and then...stop.
I do as much work on my own cars as I can. I'm currently elbows-deep in a suspension rebuild and diff swap on my '92 Jaguar XJ6.
Oh interesting, I was wondering if it was named after a notable person or something.
Hah :) it's remarkable how similar ratty old Italians are to ratty old Brits :)
Ah so you are still around :) I've still got a picture of your car on my background rotation :)
USS Essex?
What a fantastic idea. There needs to be a 'sorry' communication in cars. Everyone makes mistakes, like thinking you have enough space to pull out comfortably in front of another car but actually end up impeding their progress.
Please stop posting things like this. I've got a Jaguar XJ6 lying around with damage from a tree falling on it that I'm swaying between weighing in for scrap and turning into a Baja racer.
Quite probably, but I reckon if it's within 50kg you could offset that with some lightweight components and weight relocation.
Same sort of thing happens in India. The roads are chaotic. Near-zero lane discipline and a mentality of 'lets cram as many people as we can through this small width of rad as possible'.
