Definitely not bad. The V6S Coupe is only 14lbs over 3500 as well. I think that weight is in the fancy exhausts as well.

I think they're cab numbers now that you mention it. The coupe's a little lighter isn't it?
Possibly not. I haven't tried taking 100kg out of a car and seeing how it changes. That's a lot of weight however you look at it.
I've got a lightweight car (Spitfire), what I want is a lightweight F-Type :)
I do love the current Jag V8. Such a dirty, guttural noise.
I wonder this as well actually.
I've said it before, but if this is correct about Sergio's plans for Alfa then I will never buy another Fiat Group car for the rest of my life. Nor will I ever recommend one of their cars to anyone who asks my opinion.
Considering that BMW is pretty much Mercedes now, I think there's space for Cadillac to expand into their old market niche. Providing it still exists, mind you.
Sweet :) that means, conceivably, I could swap the 6sp from a Giulietta QV into a 4C (with some extra linkages)
It'd be possible whatever, but I'm wondering whether the bellhousing patterns are different. Probably won't be if Alfa were already planning a manual in the 4C, but I'm not sure they were.
Yeah, I know it was an outside job. Went down really well though I seem to remember.
Interesting. I wonder whether you can bolt up the standard manual to the lightweight engine. Could make for some interesting parts-swapping in a decade or so.
ZAR960 is right, the 4C has an alloy-block version of the 1750 TBi engine. Not sure whether this is just a retune of the original iron-block version in the QV or a whole engine transplant. I suppose we'll see when the weight specs come out.
Interesting. Is it the whole engine from a 4C or just a tune-up to 240bhp? The Giulietta QV engine has an iron block, whereas the 4C is all alloy.
That sort of thinking has always perplexed me somewhat. 'Keep buying such and such if you want a more powerful version'.
