I did not know that, thanks :) Spain's also fairly non-existant in the supercar world too.
Is it actually Spanish? I thought it was all Greek. No worries then.
...WANT
That looks excellent. They should have made that.
Always good to see more far-flung Jalops. What's the car scene like in Guatemala?
Very cool little car. I'm not sure what prices are like in the States (if that's where you are), but they're definitely not as cheap as Spits over here in the UK.
I wasn't intending to be defensive, I just didn't get the logical leap from suggesting a British engine and saying that they'll be using a German one. Not sure I would have got it if you hadn't explained it either.
Maybe, but you get my point. The engine is the heart of a car, and replacing it with something more common and/or less interesting is detrimental.
Very cool. I'd love a B, but I'm restoring a Spitfire (and putting a Triumph I6 in it) at the moment, and have plans on either a Stag or an Alfetta after that, so it'll have to wait a little while.
Do they? I haven't heard that before. Care for a link?
Good god yes.
German engines? Jag's AJV8 is a ground-up design by Jaguar.
Agreed.
Good man, and very jealous of the series XJ. Shame about the possible headgasket issue though. I've got a 1989 XJ40 myself, that I'm halfway through swapping a manual into.
I have less of an issue with TR7s, but it always strikes me as cheapening cars with genuine character, like old Jags. Especially the E-Type.
