I agree with all this... theoretically. I took 4 years of German in college and while the sentence structure made sense, I just couldn’t wrap my head around THREE genders (feminine, masculine and neuter) and the tendency to create multi syllable nouns by compounding words. Conversational German just hurt my jaw. :-)

This is a great suggestion, thank you! I’ve tried the #2 (i.e., keeping tabs on the cards other players have) but it was just too much for him. But then again, we’ve only just begun in the last couple weeks. So I’ll be persistent...

This is a great and timely article. Any suggestions for teaching real world skills to a 6-year old autistic child?

A day late posting but another benefit I have read is helps calm anxieties in children with autism.

That’s not a very good argument to make.

If I could ask one question to Mr. Block it would be this:

Faux-latto is my new fave answer to when people ask me “What are you?”. It replaces my default “None of your damn business”.

I’m absolutely not being a troll but I want to say in complete seriousness, if your baby is not crying often, it really is not normal. Consult a developmental pediatrician to check on the baby’s developmental milestones. I speak as a father of 6 year old autistic son who also was a quiet little baby that almost never

I don’t have a recommendation but I do have a serious question. I still have an old Flip Mino camcorder. It still works great and I upload movies all the time into Windows and OS X (the latter with a conversion tool). But I know it’s time to move on. Is there anything on the market that one could suggest is equivalent

I do love sandwiches. My favorite go-to sandwich is a classic BLT, preferably on a rye, sourdough or bagel, lightly toasted. And it’s easy to upgrade: add avocado and sriracha mayo to take it over the top. Even replacing the bacon with turkey bacon is still a winning sandwich.

I know this post came out yesterday but I just read it and had to respond.

It’s been Slashdotted! Or is that still a thing anymore? :-0

Just ran it a couple of times and got an average of 27 Mbps (this is about 8:50am on 5/22). My ISP is Cablevision. Curious as to what other Cablevision users here in NYC are getting?

I would love to.

OH GOD. If only my girlfriend could have empathy with me when we have arguments. But she’s a know-it-all, Xanax (and occasional amphetamine) popping functional alcoholic. That’s probably the main reason why we no longer have any arguments. I can’t argue with someone who sees fault with everyone but is so self-absorbed

Oh ho! An Englishman complaining about how the English language is spoken?

I used to get the weird look when people met me in person after they had spoken to me on the phone (not just interviews but any situation that led from a phone call to a face-to-face). I have a French first name, English last name but most certainly am not of European descent, plus I have a typical New York accent

I’m in the process of incorporating myself (as an LLC) so I can do some IT consulting on the side and I am checking out both LegalZoom and Nolo.com to see which site offers the better experience.
