FFXIV carbuncle is the best. I got a carbuncle kigu and carbuncle slippers... and got the mount in the game... I need to buy a plush. And a hat.

You’re more than welcome to not like the design but acting like Carbuncle has a consistent design is silly because it’s been depicted with variety of unique designs.

It’s not a more realistic version of FF7 Carbuncle, because Carbuncle wasn’t in FF7. As such, it doesn’t matter if someone wasn’t around when FF7 wasn’t initially released, because nobody has an opinion on FF7 Carbuncle prior to today.

Agreed. I was born in 82, Squaresoft fan, and I agree that it’s terrible. I’m also a professional artist, and as such I can attest that it’s a horrible design. Maybe it’ll be great in game, but that’s just bad the way it is.

There’s a pretty big difference between Western cartoon aesthetics (Cartoon) and Japanese cartoon aesthetics (Anime), even if the words translate to the same thing.
