I’ve never been this emotional over a president leaving. And I’m not even American! I don’t know if it’s because it’s OBAMA or because of the vileness that’s following him.

I work at home. There will be no inaugural coverage on at our house on Friday. I also asked my husband if he would please work from home that day; I do not have a good feeling about what may be happening in cities of any size during and after the inauguration.

I’ve taken Friday off as well. Probably gonna have a hot bath and smoke a blunt as democracy collapses around us.

I wish I had 1/4 of the faith in the fundamental goodness of people and hope that Barack Obama does. I used to be a more positive about it, but since the election it’s been incredibly difficult. Oh how he will be missed. I am so happy I have Friday off of work so I can lounge in my pjs and ugly cry during the inauguration.
