Settle down, Stephen Dorff.

I guess he got too old for this shit.

I would have used recently released Batman: The Long Halloween as the inspiration for this list rather than trying to keep Zack Snyder’s vanity project relevant. But really, no excuse is needed to talk about the good DCAU films! Assuming we’re going with the original direct-to-video movies that started with Superman:

I’m not sure I can take a “Best DC Animated Movies” list that doesn’t include Under the Red Hood.

Kudos for the creativity.  Of course if they spent their time figuring out how not be a dick as opposed to how they can cover it up they wouldn’t be filmed in the first place.

More like bada bing watching, capiche?

He was pretty good as a dipshit on The Deuce.

I dunno, “Saints Of Newark” kinda sounds like  a Springsteen tribute that takes themselves a bit too seriously.

First, great review! I like how you went into the different camera angles and setups that Soderbergh used. And second, it sounds pretty good and hits all the sweet spots of stuff I like:

unless he interviewed you that week, and it was a nice interview

It’s scary to think that the AV Club writers might take inspiration from this movie. Fortunately their poor spelling and inability to conduct basic research keeps us commenters safe.

wait her name is Femke Boot?

I mean, this show has a singing narrator delivering songs to camera, and that doesn’t get more of a shout-out in the view? That was the funniest part to me.

Also:

“Digg?”
“Yes ma’am, I definitely do dig!

Your uppance will come, A.A. Dowd.

It has Fishburne. That’s good!

The film also features Dann Trejo. That’s good!

It features Walton Goggins. That’s good!

I love the Espresso one the best. Not only does he leave the machine right outside his office but he also keeps the display instructions in Italian.

Joe & Barry definitely ain’t no Sara Lance. She immediately know it wasn’t her Ava.

I was right: That Psycho Pirate mask does make Cecile look like a Yautja (Predator). Maybe it’s her hair that makes the appearance complete. Plus, seeing her in the Thinker’s chair gets me thinking of a Yautja pilot. Not too shabby.
