Here is an almost-was that I recently found out about — apparently Ali McGraw was going to appear, as herself, at the fancy rich party in Breaking Bad’s “Grey Matter” episode, but it was cut.

I took Winkler for granted as a little kid; to me he was the Fonz and only the Fonz, to the point where I dismissed his appearance in Scream as just a bit of stunt casting. Man, was I wrong. Between Arrested Development and Barry, he’s once again cemented himself as an all-time great comedic actor.

That’s one that would totally work, especially with modern baseball. The only thing that comes close regarding baseball comedy is Brockmire, and that leaned much more into social commentary and sportscaster culture than the actual game. Bonus points for Major League portraying actual teams and logos. 

I want an episode where the event gets cancelled right before it starts, but the caterers are contractually required to walk around an empty room with trays of hors d’oeuvres for two hours.

Loved the original. I have nothing against Meg Mullaly, but I really hope Lynch comes back—-she was the real star of the original run.
