Why would you have to ban everything? Some weapons are illegal, some are not. Nuclear weapons are illegal. Grenades are illegal. Chemical weapons are illegal. Are you arguing that every rule has to be black and white - and all these items should be legal because guns are?

I dont think anyone is saying it will eliminate crime. They are saying that banning guns will cut down the amount of gun related homicides. And even though I disagree with taking guns away, I do agree that it would definitely cut down on gun deaths.

First of all, every “bad” person with a gun already assumes that every “good” person is not armed. I live in california where only .1% of the population actually carries. If a bad guy is going to rob you, they just run up and rob you. They don’t assume you’re carrying, so the situation would be made no worse.
