Wait, they are ditching the clickwheel for a...touchpad? They really are following the IPod cycle.

I’m more shocked it’s being sold. Usually when something that intensive has been done to an already very expensive car, it is kept around a long time. That looks like an 300SL that you could actually drive regularly!
XJR owner here. The 4.2L supercharged V8 isn’t too bad for repairs; the cooling system reservoirs get brittle and need replacement, but the engine is reliable. I’ve heard worse things about the newer V6 supercharged engine (bad timing chain tensioner design).
I don’t think so. It’s aimed at guys like my teammate, who bought a JDM Miata and a Nissan Stagea. The kei cars are around, but they are dwarfed by the number of full sized JDM vehicles; at least half of the JDM vehicles I see out there are models that were sold in Canada as new.
Good god, what? Sounds like a recipe for a lawsuit, that’s bananas.
It will interesting to see how it does on the dreaded small overlap test from IIHS, but it is encouraging to see Tesla nailed this.
Have you visited Houston? I mean, it’s splitting hairs a bit, but still.
Not many blogs, anyways.
Where in Canada did they send you? It’s a big place.
What? His intros are perfect and I will not hear a word of disagreement. Like most of his audience, I need something substantial to read during my morning constitutional.
I have heard this (from Rolls engineers): the RB211 prototype caused the company to split because of bankruptcy from failed testing, but it was single fan blade containment testing that it failed, requiring another engine to be built from scratch and destroyed. Very expensive...and then GE was given a pass on its new…
Remember, we don’t have to trust people when they claim their 12 year old Ferraris have only been driven 216 miles a year. Sure, like this thing has had to fuel up once a year for its entire life. That’s why the carpets look like that.
Haha, Jag is pretty bad at packaging space in car size. My wife’s Legacy has noticeably more room inside than my XJ :-)
I mean, not physically fitting in the car?
A few comments have hit close to home.
General Altimax Arctics are good inexpensive winters for folks on a budget-very much worth a mention.
In Calgary, the first generation Smarts are the only ones that have decent winter tires. The new ones and the Mercs are brutal in the snow.
Occasionally, but generally they can see that the person in front of me isn’t going any faster than me or is even braking, so there isn’t any point. But local traffic is relatively chill.
I intentionally leave big gaps ahead of me in stop-and-go traffic jams. It eases the problem (vehicles undergoing a ‘slinkie’ pattern) and is way, way easier on anyone driving a stick, as a single speed can be maintained longer. As for longer gaps at stoplights, I get harped on about this every time I do the company…
I mean, minimum wage in California is 10.50 an hour, regardless of tips. It comes down to a belief in the right to a livable wage for work. Plenty of folks disagree in the whole premise of minimum wage.
