Pre beak, it was FWD only. But with an LSD in the manual cars, apparently.

Sure. Why not? Fun fact about 'girly cars' in general, by the way: If you're looking to attract a girl, they work quite well. My brother had one, worked like a charm. Of course, now he drives a four door Wrangler with matte steel bumpers and 37" tires...

And huge doors, to boot!

Absolutely. The arc of the roof is right over the head of the driver. Just...don't try and sit behind them.

Some cars will work just fine, if that's what they want to buy.

Realized afterwards I'm wrong, Edmunds just doesn't list the options from BMW and others. Still, great car.

The first gen of New Beetles had a ridiculous amount of room for the driver, and with a turbo and stick, are pretty fun. Dunno about the newest ones, but it's worth checking out.

ECU and cooling, I think. Couldn't get air to the intercooler, really cut the nuts off the engine. The Roadkill guys know the solution to that though.

Should have included the Acura TL :-)

Car and Driver tried building one...it was messy. I don't think they ever got it sorted out properly.

I would be a little wary about the STi without at least all seasons, as the stock tires are definitely summers. Wife has a Legacy GT, and it's ferocious in winter on Blizzaks, but Calgary has snow 6 months out of the year.

I think you'll find the GXP are rare and have held their value very well, but if you're shopping STi and Z06, you'll be fine

Who cares!

Holy crap, that is insane and amazing.

Haha, knew I'd see you here. Everyone knows it has a stick for the same reason you have to defend it all day long-it's just a Mondeo :-)

The GTS model, no less. 400 HP Cayenne with a manual!

Yeah, the XJR is really pretty awful in snow. I have great winter tires, but the lack of LSD can be frustrating-and it's a very different beast than those :-) I just cannot stand to let my car sit all winter. The idea of it being stranded in the garage kills me.

That...kinda sounds like it would be worth riding a bike instead. But I know that's not always a savoury or safe option, and if you have to drop a kid off at school or daycare, it get really hairy.

When I made that change, I bought an XJR. Aluminum doesn't rust, baby!
