Huh, always saw them listed for 30k or over, or at least that was the as-tested price listed in C&D. More imporantly, how is it?
The Sporttrac is retired, but a clean 2009 is under $20k. GM and Ford don't really have a competitive small truck anymore, you're right, and I think their big stuff does have a significant premium. I feel a bit of the same way about the Ridgeline until I look at the competition, and then I wish we had some of the…
Crucially, they added awesome rear facing seats.
While I think the journalist wasn't as dishonest as Elon makes him out to be, he clearly lied about some of the details. He wasn't looking for a spot-he was trying to brick the car. The detour into Manhattan he wrote about, but if you're going to say "Charged for 58 minutes" and you really charged for 47, either round…
I think they were positioning it nearer the charger.
Ack, misread the article I was using as a reference. In 2009, the base models got an LSD as well.
I haven't, which is why I wrote (supposedly)-sorry, wasn't trying to disparage it.
Well, all of these are vehicles you're better off buying new and selling to some sucker a few years later for the same price, but you're right, it's insane in this case.
WOW. Well, I guess for that person who really, really wanted the slushbox version, this will be okay-but it sounds like a ripoff to me :-)
Honda Ridgeline, Nissan Frontier, Ford Sporttrac? The Ford and the Nissan have better suspensions available if you actually want to offroad, or you can just buy a V8 4WD Quad cab 1500 Ram for a couple of grand more-again, with better suspension, though I'll give you the reliability bit. Of course, none of those trucks…
Which he faithfully documented in his review. Oh, wait, no, he didn't. That would have read "At that point, I pulled into the service plaza and drove around in a circle for five minutes trying to get the car to die for a photo op, but I got carsick, so I stopped and charged it."
Well, it allows for hill-assist on stickshift cars as well as automatic engagement of the parking brake when needed on automatics, prevently the cars from resting on the parking pall.
I think it was a little lack of ad support, not having an LSD from the get-go, quality control issues on the soft tops, and not actually being more fun (supposedly) than competitors like the RX8.
The GPS and climate control data is damning though. I agree, charge data is unreliable, but the guy drove faster than he claimed and never turned off the heat like he claimed.
Same thing Jag, Subaru, BMW and others were thinking?
A nice 2009 is worth ~18k now, so not bad, but I think we may end up doing better. What were these new, 32k? I'd definititely want one with the dealer ECU tune.
That's ridiculous-especially as there are better trucks out there.
