Okay. Well $100k x 52 weeks is $5.2 million.

It’s going to cost you virtually nothing.

Can we all cool it with the “tax dollars” argument?

Autism is an unfortunate condition, but it’s also darkly comedic that if Barron is suffering from it, it’s due to Trump’s weak, rancid, old sperm.

So lame.

This type of comment is everything that’s bad about internet discourse. Bye.

Indeed. The whole thing is much more Miserables.

Maybe you don’t know Bill Maher as well as you think you do.

I agree 100%.

You correctly point out that the REpublicans used fear and anger. Are you suggesting we should counter with the same? That seems like a dangerous idea.

Are you actually willing to consider the answer?

As am I.

How does having the population centers provide an advantage when they have the suburban and rural vote? This year, we lost because inner city turnout was low.

Well, then I guess we should just give up and concede that we’ll never win an election again?

Ooooh, sick burn.

Yeah, that “on track” line struck me as well.

For starters, I don’t believe we much used logic, facts and appeals for empathy. It felt like we skipped straight to the shaming and condescension.

I don’t know if you’re missing the point intentionally or unintentionally, but nobody has argued that we need to watch our tone with overt racists and abusive assholes. The argument is that we shouldn’t treat every Trump voter as if they’re racists and assholes.

The bigger picture is how to sweep the midterm and win in 2020. That will only happen by winning converts, and I’m not sure a single convert has ever been won by “shaming people for the their small mindedness.” We tried that for the last year and it failed spectacularly.

I’ve read your comments for a long time, so I know you’re super smart. But, this kind of thinking is dangerously reductive.
