There were also a lot fewer people back then. And a lot fewer multiplexes; you wouldn’t have had a Cinemark 20 dedicating four rooms to “Gone With the Wind” in 1939.

So ... the Auckland thing.

Simple solution: cover the actress in blue body paint, rename it SMURF, and go from there.

She’s okay. She sleeps all night and she works all day.

I may not be your editor, but your headline is needlessly ambiguous: “Showtime kills SMILF amid allegations of inappropriate behavior against creator-star Frankie Shaw”. There are two ways of reading this; one is that the allegations are against Frankie Shaw, the other is that the inappropriate behaviour was enacted

...or for YEARS.  Like until the jacket wears out.  “I’m a SKIER!!!!”

I have owned a v90 cc since spring 2017. My favorites list on xm include 43,44,45,47 and sports and news.

V90's are actually dirt cheap right now. Dealers stocked a ton of V90 CC’s, but then everybody bought the V60 instead. There are dozens of V90s on Autotrader right now for $13k off MSRP. You can get in a T6 for under $50k:

Can we please get more of whatever volvo started smoking a few years ago when the new design theme emerged?

The blue XC70 with the beige interior and sea grass overmats with ocean race badges on the front fenders? That was basically the official car of the Swedish middle class around 2005-2010.

And you’re not even Swedish anymore!

Had a 5 Series wagon for a couple years. Never once felt the need for a roof box. Just fold one of the seats down and load up the snow boards and skis and bags with the kids and go. Warned the kids not to touch the edges of the snowboards but did they listen?? No and they drew blood.

The Ocean Race XC90 was still one of my favorite factory blue paints. This white... no so much. It’s a beautiful car that wears it, but a different color would have been nicer. But I’m too poor for all of this, so...

as a side note - the VOR is freaking intense and frankly one of the most demanding sporting events on the planet as far as I’m concerned.  This special edition reminds me exactly none amount of that event.

I could tolerate the interior if the interior weren’t so bad.

Didn’t notice that, agreed.

Patterned stitching should be an accent, not... whatever the opposite of an accent is.

So retro. Makes me wonder if the high beam switch is on the floor.

My GOD, look at that stereo face! That looks like the hi-fi unit my dad used to have when I was a kid in the 1970s! It’s got NEEDLES! I’m really going to need a moment.

Christ, I can only imagine those things when they get to your level. I wonder what 25 years of michigan salt will do to those battery packs.
