With the lowest interest rates in years, I went ahead and refinanced my home. Here I was so smug that I had saved a bunch, but if I’d waited just a few weeks I could have taken advantage of this cut and gotten a better rate, presumably.

Sorry, I have to disagree. I travel A LOT for work and frequently find myself in foreign lands with new foods that require learning about. Perhaps because I’m an extrovert I abhor being without someone to share my thoughts with.

I purchased an $18 Home depot box fan, a high-end furnace filter of the same dimensions (20" x 20" x 1") and a bunji cord to hold the two together. This gets rid of allergens, pollen, and odors. I recall reading in a Lifehacker post that this is 90% as effective as one of those $400+ HEPA air cleaners.

I grew up in a household where if anything had any value, even for parts, you would hold onto it because you “might need it” in the future.

I don’t like olives and pickled onions rock. Please tell me which bars you frequent so I can avoid them, I’d like enjoy my gibson without being judged.

I think that’s why it’s being referred to as “The New NAFTA” by almost all involved. They are, for all practical purposes, nearly indistinguishable.

I’m not advocating this in any way, but there is the old trick of placing a water bottle in the seat pocket with the tray table down, preventing the person in front from reclining. Same effect, and you won’t get kicked off the plane.

There are people employed as investigators. Once a person fills out the clearance form, the investigators go to work and they are usually quite thorough. Lying on these forms may hurt worse than losing a job, and it ain’t worth it for $5 in a checking account in Grand Caman.
