Wow! An actual life hack!

Your first mistake might have been to go right to the Internet for a first-time purchase. A knowledgeable expert at an appliance store would have asked questions about your laundry space, current unit, needs, etc. and saved you some hassle, whether or not you purchased from them.

I’m actually surprised that this is still advice in 2023. Lifehacker, among others, were advising people to stop using AOL.com addresses before the turn of the century (and no, I’m not going to look it up).

Anyone who actually needs this advice is probably not reading Internet blogs anyway.

I started collecting PEZ because I thought it would be inexpensive and fun. I remember saying “I will never pay more than $5 for a dispenser” and that number moved to $10, then $50, then $100, etc. I attended conventions and watched them build the PEZ museum in Orange CT (highly recommend!).

The worst ones are from the folks who buy debt in bulk from the Internet and go into business collecting it.
I recently got a call from a debt collector who claimed to hold debt on a speeding ticket I got in Florida over 23 years ago! I thought I paid it and he claimed I didn’t. Since neither of us had sufficient

Counterpoint: NO

Range is an issue, but the biggest impediment to consumer acceptance is price. According to Kelly Blue Book, the Average cost of an EV in 2022 is $62, 876. I want one, but I can buy a lot of (gas powered) car for much less.

I’m not a college student; I will spend thousands on audio gear, sports equipment, art, etc. I can’t imagine spending $300 for a toaster oven.

1) HD Voice is enabled by VoLTE, but they are not the same thing.
2) While HD Voice is an improvement, it still doesn’t compare to the quality of landline with end-to-end analog.

Don’t pull through to the adjacent space. It is dangerous and in many states (including mine, VA) it is illegal.

Years ago a friend of mine got pulled over (out of state) for some minor reason and they asked if they could look in his trunk. He politely said that it would require a warrant. The cops made him wait several long hours while they went to get one. He was pleased he was able to exercise his rights but I wonder what

Fewer than the general population, I’d say.

When I was a kid I tried on a ring that I could not remove. Mom took me to the fire station (this is something they handle, apparently) and before they tried their special ring tool, just squirted some Windex on my hand and presto! It slid right off.

This is the best method (and involves no bribing): just put the veg on their plate. Example:
Day 1 - one broccoli floret on the plate. The child will complain. You say, “you don’t have to eat it.” When they don’t, wrap it and place in fridge.
Day 2- take out of fridge, put on child’s plate. They complain, you repeat an

Basically...

What a strange post! Do people not understand this basic concept?

Get a doorbell that plays the MP3 of what a doorbell should sound like (very common), then replace with a recording of a barking dog.

Smart lock? “Alexa, unlock the front door”

Dad was a recruiter. He used to say that for popular openings, the person reading the resume rarely goes past the first 3rd of the top page so it’s important to put the most important stuff first.

Another reason to like stainless - easy to replace.
We bought a home that included a kitchen with SS appliances. When the dishwasher died, there were many upgrade choices from many manufacturers. Same with the fridge. I hate to think what we would have done if we had some proprietary GE profile finish.
