Having read through the really deep discussions over on Hacker News, these guys at best would have had the chance to count down from 1.

Sidestepping the considerable posts in the thread which detract from the argument for or against reparations... I, a white man, was recently thinking about reparations due to a post from a linkedin connection, citing 31 trillion dollars due to African Americans.

The mountains out that way are pretty gay, with great hiking trails.

I guess I can see it.  Republicans (even the more serious ones), have been talking about “Demographic shifts” putting them at a competitive disadvantage.  The more sober ones are referring not to ethnic demographic shifts, but age-related demographic shifts.

I have not seen the film, nor any interest in doing so. But I did invest some pretty good time trying to understand all the valid non-racist non-trolling criticisms of the film.

Lots of these folks get it. There just seems to be unstated opinions about what sorts of people should be in what sorts of films.

Yes.  But that doesn’t stop Disney from trying to claim they own the folktale, because mostly people just know their version of it.

Yes, that will go over well when they start claiming copyright on another nation’s folktales.
