I have been waiting for this thread all year! These will probably doxx me to anyone who knows me/my family, but they’re too good not to share.

What 26-year-old man other than a sexual abuser and/or rapist would be even remotely interested in a 14-year-old child? That’s something I will never understand.

The pastor called my husband into his office and told him that he was good at his job, but that I was a liability to him and he should have chosen a better wife.

Two adults, two kids, no income. It was the scariest situation of my life. The school offered no severance, no financial assistance, no advice, not even any consolation. They just said they’d pray for us. Some of the old church members were kind enough to reach out and ask how we were doing, but many never spoke to

To be honest, I think that kind of control over your life from an employer is a little abusive too, even for politics. But if you’re happy, I guess, go for it.

At East End Christian Academy, Daniel signed a strict contract stating, among other things, that he would not drink in public, that he would regularly attend their associated church, and that he would live a Christ-like lifestyle.

this gif was me, yes

I have a very similar story, but not quite as scary. My husband is a youth pastor and the first church we went to after getting married was a similarly toxic situation. They paid him $18,000/yr (he had his bachelors in religion and was working on his masters) and made lots of promises about raises and promotions that

When they said they would pray for them:

We got married very, very young. ;) Another aspect of conservative Christianity with unforseen consequences.

So someone deciding to change careers makes them a terrible person?

Earlier this year, I got a tattoo of a honeybee on my collar bone. Because in a beehive, the females lead. The females do the work. And they’re willing to die for the things they believe in.

This image always makes me want to punch something. Every time I see it.

When Christian people talk about being persecuted for their faith this behavior is the problem. They are being called out for being racist, sexist, ageist assholes who don’t seem to follow any moral compass besides mean girls. Not for believing in JC.

So you’ve never interviewed and taken a job based on what you’ve been told of the company culture, only to find out they sugar coated things and made it seem better than it is?

Ever since someone pointed out it out the last time this image was posted, I can’t get it out of my head:

Jesus Christ, the body language.
