One is a craftsperson and member of The Culture, the other is an automated slave for capital. One learns to draw in layers, the other tries to shit out in one single go. One needs to eat, the other is a construct that can be spun up by its master without concern.

Except they’re not identical. People each learn in their own way and there is only 1 of each of us. Not everyone can learn to create art. These AI need only 1 to be trained and then it can be massed copied and put to work mass producing.

Have you....read cyberpunk before? Are you not familiar with Snowcrash, one of the more famous ones, whose lead is Hiro Protagonist, a pizza delivery driver who calls himself “The Deliverator” and carries a katana? Who teams up with “Yours Truly” (Y.T.), a skateboard courier who refers to herself exclusively in the

I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about here. For all the valid complaints about Cyberpunk 2077, I don’t think “all the characters are interchangeable edgelords” is one of them.

Agreed. I have no desire to defend Bioshock Infinite, as it was mediocre, but being high while you played it and not remembering things is...that’s not related to the game, it’s the drugs.

The problem is, when a studio even fails at developing homogenized, sterile work. Because let’s face it: Gollum wasn’t anything extraordinary that hasn’t been done before by smaller studios with greater success and a simply better product.

I feel like the only way you could have made that game work is as Survival Horror.

Why they decided to go with a live service naval combat multiplayer game instead

CAST DEVELOPMENT INTO THE FIRE!!! DESTROY IT!!!

That is what I am thinking as well. I believe I remember seeing them call regular conversations with NPCs “cinematic” before. I think they’re using it as a technical term for any time the game takes over the camera; it’s probably what it’s called in-engine, but some quick facts...

ValvE: where good ideas go to die

No but the critical hits from the enemies might...

One of the biggest games I’ve got hype for, and have had hype for for years. And in that hype, one of the favorite things, albeit specific and maybe weird? I paid for this like 3 years ago! I don’t have to worry about budgeting for it! It’s already mine!

*ahem*. That is, don’t preorder people. This was an exception due

I’m just so glad it’s turn-based. I’ve always struggled to get into “real-time-with-pause” systems that just felt so cumbersome to me. D&D itself is turn-based, so it only makes sense.

The original trilogy was definitely in the Forgotten Realms campaign.  I think they mean the actual gameplay was inspired by D&D, as it wasn’t a full turn-based game that directly copied the 2E ruleset at the time.

I doubt the previous two games will even matter much in Baldur’s Gate 3.  It’s a different character in a different time period and using a different ruleset, so if you go into this blind you really shouldn’t be missing much.

I feel like this entire article ignores every little bit of Drake’s Breath.

I actually finally finished the storyline last night. As with BotW, I spent hours upon hours just doing everything but the main story, cause it’s all so engrossing.

.... The planet appears earlier in the story to hint at its importance later in the story? Im confused at your use of chekhovs gun here.

Minecraft would like a word.
