I’d imagine being able to control a larger ship without having to rely on multiple friends being on at the same time, or just wanting to be closer to the action of sailing the ship/in first person?

Have you played the ships in SnB that are of comparable size to the Jackdaw? If you’ve only played the beta, chances are you stopped at or before the Padawekang.

Nothing else comes close in terms of the combat, navigation, and mechanics.

Here’s the funnier thing.

And in this case was a dumb comment from the CEO during an investor call when answering a question.

Picked this up on a lark shortly after it came out last year.

Most recent (and excluding romanceable characters in games) is probably Kisara from Tales of Arise.

Yep.

Yeah, the on foot stuff is basically just flavor type additions - the various locations differ visually, ranging from sand and rock islands surrounded by shipwrecks to old fort ruins to wooden structures within a swamp filled with mangrove trees, but that’s about all they have to offer. That, and the visual element of

That’s the preview from August 2023. If you want to comment on something that’s actually relevant from IGN, there’s a inside report on the development of the game.

I’d be willing to bet this chucklehead has almost certainly worked a job where someone else messed up and they complained that the whole team got in trouble/had to work more for it.

I think you’d be surprised at how much the sailing side appeals to some of us - there are countless games where I can fight things in all sorts of different styles while on foot.

It takes maybe a second or two longer (except for breaking open a shipwreck with the crowbar, that one takes a few seconds on top of that), and you forgo the bonus you get for hitting the

It would be cool to have “public events” like in Destiny - face off against a ghost navy, the kraken, etc.

Sea of Thieves came out in 2018 so when the development for Skull and Bones started, there was probably a lot of focus group data that suggested that there was a multi-player pirate game niche to be filled there.

Last night, I boarded my first ship in Skull and Bones and it’s just a still image with a list of loot.

The sheer number of stories we have from people that went through hell dealing with bad project managers or “leaders” of teams that would pull one way then the other, changing goals and objectives and scopes...

I have no idea how they will implement the character, and I’m not so puerile as to call just the idea of using the character “lazy.” Way early to be making that kind of generalized judgment.

Pick about 80% of characters in comics and “overly complicated” is as common as capes or tight fitting outfits.
