Magic the gathering also has a significantly larger deck size, and many many more (theoretically, at least) turns before the end of a game. That’s going to impact how counters work and how impactful they are.

He was in mine for a while, though he’s taken a backseat to other series 2 tech cards the higher I’ve gone in collection level. Armor is a commonly played card now for decks that use 1 cost they want to keep out, and cards like Wolverine, Sabretooth, or Venom make Destroy decks less reliant on a bunch of 1 cost cards.
It helps that many of the series 3 decks just don’t rely on 1 cost cards to nearly the same degree, and control of the board is found more in 2 and 3 cost cards.

Feels like my appetite for space games is going to be sated, between Ixion in a couple weeks, Terra Invicta in early access, and Homeworld 3 in the future...and now Falling Frontiers is on that list.
I’m pretty sure they weren’t talking about you officially endorsing these as something people should purchase, but rather the incredibly glowing headline followed by the “I’m not vouching for these” line.
Yeah, feels weird that to have that kind of headline, then bury the “I’m not personally vouching for these” line further down. Undermines the premise put forth by the title quite a bit...
Seems like you’re seriously overestimating how OP having Series 3 cards actually makes any given player.
Might be someone who played during the closed beta on mobile, which ran from I think May or June - progress from that carried over.
The funny part here is you assuming that the online connectivity of the world in an MMO is:
Probably because it was a marketing gimmick.
Are we still trotting out the “but other game did it fine” line?
Fortunately the tokens aren’t being added alongside all the other currency that comes from caches, and instead are replacing Boosters as a drop.
I’ve yet to find a deck archetype (a Destroy deck with Carnage and a Destroy deck with Death in it are both still the Destroy archetype, after all) with I couldn’t try by the end of Pool 2, since most Pool 3 cards just make the archetypes more effective or add a twist to it (like a Destroy deck using Destroyer) rather…
It’s got several big names mixed in like Wolverine and Spider-Man and Captain America, plus those who more known now due to the MCU like Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel, so it’s not like it’s entirely a B-team set of heroes.
Wouldn’t be surprised at the console base being larger, as I believe it was on PS+ at one point and is currently on Xbox Game Pass.
I think a lot of the earlier vitriol was more on the not liking anything GaaS related, mixed in with a persistent criticism that they looked too much like the MCU versions without being the actual likeness.
“Repeatedly.”
Which is what is currently available - emotes and preset text for some good natured ribbing, such as the thumbs up from another when you’ve just done something dumb can be quite effective in that regard (and then have them do it again when you turn what seemed dumb into a genuinely good play, like baiting them into…
Genuine question: Why claim that all you say is that there is an evolution, when anyone with eyes can see the picture of it and the name in the bit of lede text?
