Todd saying “I..................farted” was the biggest laugh of the episode for me, though I also loved that Elm Street line.

That would be my criticism - I would’ve liked a whole episode devoted to Davina, not just an oddly placed 10-15 minute interlude. Still, this was one of the stronger episodes of the season.
Yeah, I was thinking Michael would give them the memories of the first timeline, not all the following centuries’ worth of memories. Eleanor also wouldn’t necessarily want her memories of sleeping with Chidi to come back, so she’d have an incentive to only get the first timeline back, if that makes sense.
I had the same thought that we’re getting some foreshadowing with Phil - you also didn’t mention that in this episode she said, “Is that what you’re going to do to me?” about the way Sam has the dead dog in the backseat. Also, earlier in the season, Duke asked if Phil was going to die soon.
Comparatively speaking I’d give this a B+ or so, but I love every episode of this show and this one was still great.
Rodgriguez?

Thought this was a pretty good premiere, and I laughed a lot, though it feels like the status quo still needs to be shaken up somehow. I’m not sure what that looks like at this point - maybe a huge time jump to Carol and Erica’s babies as teenagers, or something? I’m craving something different.
Daaaaamn. I think this season could, by the end, be the best season yet. S2 had some amazing episodes and this season hasn’t had a truly all-time great one yet (though “Odysseus” came close for me), but each season usually takes a while to kick in, and this one is really great and consistent from the beginning. Plus…
I went to Cinefamily once, in July 2014 when I was living in LA for an internship. I saw the premiere of 7 Chinese Brothers, and Jason Schwartzman was there doing a Q&A afterward. I only went there once, but I really, really liked it, and the sense of community was palpable. I kinda felt at home there even though it…
...Clarie?
Not one of my favorite episodes of the show, but I still liked it a lot. Adlon’s acting throughout is so great, between her sarcastic flirting with Pedro and, as the reviewer pointed out, the amount of expression changes happen as she’s listening to Max.
It was really the perfect choice for the first thing Gretchen would say to Jimmy.
Holy shit, this season is off to such a great start. That “this is fine” meme reference at the end was built to so masterfully. I actually gasped at how funny and perfect it was.
I saw the ‘twist’ coming (especially from the foreshadowing of the guy yelling “Donald Trump will be president!” in the real universe, and from the foreshadowing with Bevers), but that didn’t make it any less great when Alternate-Abbi and Alternate-Ilana got hit by the bus.
They’re making it over in batches, I believe. A couple of the old Magicians reviews have comments, I noticed. But yeah I’m a little disappointed it’s not done yet, since I was bingeing The Magicians and wanted to read along with the comments.
Can we talk about how Walt from Lost is Molly's brother and Rose from Lost is her mom?
Standard "why isn't ___ on the list?" comment: Waiting for Guffman.
It's interesting that you use the phrase "one for them one for me," because in this interview with David Ehrlich, David Lowery explicitly says it's not like that, and that they're "all for him." (It's on page 4.)
Love Japanese Breakfast. I heard her live opening for Alex G a couple weeks ago, and she was just great. (She also came out to sing with Alex for one of the songs during the encore.)
