I was very lukewarm on the movie, but Scarlett Johansson’s character and her performance were probably my favorite part, which seems like a polarizing opinion even among people who like the movie.

You mean you’d put it behind What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and even Jojo Rabbit? ;)

Hello from 2021. Finally getting around to this now after watching Mike White’s new show The White Lotus! I’m loving it.

As someone else said, I wonder if these reviews got such low views because they were difficult to find. I’ve almost never seen them on the home page and have had to search for them myself. Bummer, because LaToya is a perfect fit for this show. I often feel like she’s reading my mind.

I quit this show after S3, much of which I half-watched while doing other things. Felt like after S1, almost every scene was in high-octane action-movie mode, but in a way that just felt numbing and boring. (Not to mention the constant Khalil/Painkiller stuff, which was infuriating.) It’s a shame considering how good

From what I recall, he showed a lot of promise just as a supporting comedy movie actor in The Five-Year Engagement. He’s also pretty funny in the final season of The O.C. I recently watched that show for the first time and was surprised to remember how goofy and likable he was in certain roles.

I have it on good authority that the second season will be recapped on Vulture, if anybody is looking for episodic reviews ;)

And there’s a new special coming out literally...today!

Isn’t Bran younger?

Liked this episode way more than the last one, especially with all the cast interactions. But I really didn’t need Archie and Veronica to fall back into each other’s arms just yet - I know it’s been years in show time, but it’s only been a few episodes for us, and I would’ve liked them to take their time bringing them

What I’m curious about is whether this basically proceeded exactly like it would’ve as the penultimate episode of S4. I mean, S4 did only have two episodes left, and the time jump was still coming in S5, so this had to cover the same amount of ground it would’ve otherwise, right? I think I might’ve been even more

Watching for the first time now too and my parents and I kept mentioning how eerie the parallels were!

I hated The Danish Girl, but thought he was really good.

Yeah, that’s a fair point. Personally, by the time they were back at her room, I didn’t read Terry’s body language as drunk to the point of blacking out/being unable to consent. But even if it was technically assault for that reason, I think that if Terry hadn’t realized the guys knew each other afterward, she

Thank god the friends resolved things this episode - those first few scenes Arabella was becoming really intolerable, and I’ve been more sympathetic to her than others throughout this show.

Yeah, Ashley is referring to the threesome, which happened under false pretenses (the guys pretended not to know each other beforehand). But to me that feels more like manipulative behavior than straight-up sexual assault (correct me if I’m wrong). And that’s what one of the things I love about this show: that it

And as the sleazy coworker in One Day at a Time!

Disagree about the book having an anti-adoption vibe - I thought it was remarkably even-handed, showing empathy for both Bebe and the McCulloughs. Reading the book I came away siding with the McCulloughs a little more.

This show already did a subplot with a racist dog. It was in Season 5, Episode 2, “The Bowtie.”
