Oddly enough, out here in PDX there’s an infill movement to create density in single home neighborhoods by zoning for duplexes, ADU lots etc. and a former city commissioner just said Portland should look to NYC as an example to strive for. I totally disagree, but there it is.

Yeah tell me about it. In fairness, it was usually in circumstances where, like, the music minister’s son was dating the daughter of a 4th grade teacher - it wasn’t EVERY breakup - but it was a bubble, so a fair amount of that kind of thing still happened.

Exactly this. I went to a tiny religious high school and when I got to my giant public college I was truly shocked that no one cared that I made out with two guys on the same night. My high school teachers literally took sides when students broke up.
