My mom says the same thing, and I get it to an extent because while I don’t like bad things happening to children I will lose my shit if something happens to a dog. I’m a huge fan of doesthedogdie.com
God this looks amazing. We are blessed to have Jordan Peele contributing to our culture. As well as the phenomenal actors and actresses that are a part of this!
Sir, outside of Silicon valley I live in the Tech City of West Coast Elites. Wealth inequality is still a massive issue. It’s moreso an issue in the region because a certain tech giant can manage to pay employees a starting wage of 80k-100k (heavens forbid you work in one of their warehouses).
I would paint a more complex picture. A lot of middle-class Americans have seen significant wage growth, but it really depends on where you live and what industry you work in. If you live in one of the coastal elite cities or one of the small but growing tech hubs like Austin or Denver in high-skilled services, there…
While, yes, the stock market is not the economy, that’s not entirely how it works. If the stock market is sluggish, or hurting, companies usually take that as the opportunity to buy up stocks of their own, or in other companies. They aren’t reinvesting that money into employees or infrastructure of their own companies…
I’ve never seen a president whose actions could so easily, quickly, and directly effect the economy so negatively. I didn’t think it was even possible. It’s got to be some sort of record, but one of the ones Guinness doesn’t keep track of because they’re too dangerous, like being set on fire for the longest time.
Way to precipitate a bank run that no one was considering anyway, Steve!
Trump decided to hitch his star to the performance of the stock market, most likely in the face of all advice not to do so because of this. So, like most of his shitty half-baked ideas, he’s going to have to own this one.
One very important point that everyone seems to miss (but economists constantly point out, which suggests to me that few people are listening to the experts) is that the stock market is not the economy.
Ah, the banks all swear they have plenty of cash on hand to weather a massive downturn. Well that’s a relief! Turns out we don’t need any regulation to ensure that sort of thing, after all. We just need to call them up and say, “hey, Bill, you’re not hanging your ass out the window again, are you?”
Hanging the Kurds out to be massacred by the Turks (again) in return for not losing tax breaks on Trump Towers Istanbul, not so much…
But she describes herself as not cer maternal, and they were born before 1973. It’s possible she had little to no say in having kids she did not especially want. They probably went to perfectly fine boarding schools.
It’s less about obligation and more about self preservation. We know those guys will attack us if we reject them the wrong way. This total shit adage about “hell hath no fury” should be about a man rejected, because they’re the ones creating hell on earth.
Dear girls: you are under no obligation to be nice to someone who creeps you out. You do not need to date a guy just because he says you're the love of his life. And you do not have to "give him a chance".
Friendly reminder that you are under no obligation to be nice to any guys that can’t take a hint, even if they seem depressed or “need a friend.” Your peace and safety come first and fuck anyone who tries to make you feel bad for it.
