Americans can’t get out of their own way. The mythical Obama->Trump->Any Democrat voter is a mythical creature, and chasing that vote is a fool’s errand.

I hope that the DNC does make the change. Illinois and Nevada would be two excellent bellwether states to go first, with special attention paid to Chicagoland within Illinois (as the closest match to the electorate as a whole.)
