🤢🤮 The NYT was seen as the “gold standard” paper when I was young. Now, I find myself reading WaPo and The Guardian. NYT legitimizing racist and proto-facist lines of thinking in the opinion authors has me clicking elsewhere.

This looks photoshopped in a strange way. Like the light on him is different than the light in the forest? Like he was photographed in a weird Glamour Shots studio perched on tge edge of a full-sized adult chair, then added to a stock photo of the forest in Wisconsin?

We began watching stories centered on women, ideally at least partially written by women (source material or screenplay). In Mr. Smuttins words, “Wow. These movies/shows are so much better. Deeper, more complex, more interesting...just really better in every way.”

I’ve been singing the praises of this film far and wide. It really is amazing, through and through.  Great performances, great stories, great directing.  All around top notch.

Your brain is my brain. I used to be able to watch the transcribed versions of his stupid words, but the sound of his stupid voice forming stupid, single-syllable words leaving his stupid face hole was too much. Now, even reading the words is too much.

Oh man. Are your cousins my cousins? Because the virulent and violent, take-no-prisoners norovirus transmitted from my younger cousin on Christmas Eve was the stuff of legend. Like, why would you come to a huge family dinner if you couldn’t go more than 20 min. without erupting?!?

We have several friends who have had the surgery, including one double replacement (staggered, one then the other.). Based on their experience and advice: Treat your physical therapy like a job - don’t scrimp or cheat. Be kind to yourself, and realize that it will take awhile to get back to 100%.

+1 for being untidy vs. filthy. Having a pair of socks on the floor or not making your bed everyday is *way different* than leaving food or dirty dishes around.  One is visually unpleasant, the other is a health hazard!
