Wheww. I think the things listed here are super regional, or at least American, or based on the kind of restaurant. Idk? I was a server for five years, and a customer for longer, and really disagree with a couple of these.

Similar experience here. I went into Home Depot to get a quote on counter top when I was reno'ing my kitchen a couple years back. I'd taken the measurements and was certain on them. Sales dude tried to convince me I needed three times the length ('cause apparently my kitchen extends into my garden unbeknownst to me

Okay, so if the biological parents just decided they didn't want any kid at all anymore, she should have just aborted? Maybe the wife miraculously got pregnant and they didn't want to bother with the surrogacy anymore. Maybe the baby was going to have brown eyes instead of green eyes. Maybe it was a girl and they

It seems to me there was a complete lack of communication. If she had been screened properly, it would have come up in the interview process that she was anti-abortion and these people could have picked someone else.

Yeah, that's exactly how it would go down in the hallways on Monday. Not.

On the last quote- but... They ARE sex offenders. It's accurate. It's not like they drunkenly peed in public. ITS AN ACCURATE THING THAT THEY ARE.

Finally. Thank you for thinking of the victim(s), Kira.

Those two guys together show me how an awkward adorable and a smooth adorable (Paul) can both get my heart going pitter patter. I have no principles!

Mark Ruffalo is so freaking awkward and I LOVE IT.

Doing something you don't love is difficult. Doing something you do love is easy. Try to make your living doing something you love.

You can be an amazing friend without assuming total strangers have the intention of raping your friends.

i have mixed feelings on Ms Allred, because she has and does many great deeds .

While going through bins of old stuff in the garage, I stumbled upon my wife's collection of shoes from high school/college. My original offer didn't work (for every 3 pairs of shoes she donates/tosses she could get a new pair at some point in the future with no questions asked). My second offer resulted in 15 pairs

Yes, you won! Well done! (Urgh.) Sorry for what you had to go through and thanks for speaking out about it. I don't understand why someone would want to define somebody else's experience, especially when they're in a relative position of privilege and power. It's insulting. As if you don't go through enough surviving

well, there are certain lobbies that have been trying to kill the NLRB since its inception, and they're definitely getting close these days. *cough cough* half the the Supreme Court.

Seriously? The term "mansplaining" offends you? I find it to be a pretty accurate, and not completely hostile term to describe a pretty common behavior. How do you manage to make it through the front door without collapsing into a quivering heap of victimhood?

I don't think that's a very apt analogy for what he said, though. This would be more like "being murdered by your friend at a party isn't as bad as being murdered by a stranger." Obviously, the victim is still dead. If a person is raped by a friend or a stranger, it's still rape.

yes, yes we do. He's an embarrassment. But, an excellent reminder that the mere fact of being an atheist doesn't preclude one from being a tedious assberet.
