There are very few of you, I’d guess.

The subheadline here is hilarious. We’re “too exhausted” to fight this stuff? When “fighting” is canceling a subscription?

I think the reality is that Gen Z would just be more annoying and pedantic about this shit. Where a millennial might say “You can’t have a straight guy play a gay guy!” Gen Z would just whine about having a bi guy play a pan guy or something.

I don’t know anything about this specific author, but I’m fairly certain AVClub has outsourced a lot of its writing (including some TV reviews) to high school sophomores who are a few points away from a D- and need the extra credit.

I saw the movie. It sucked. The actress playing Ariel was good and, shockingly, so was Melissa McCarthy. Still, it looked like shit, the best parts were just ripped from the original, and nearly every new thing they added was terrible. 5/10 just on the strength of the original.

It sucked. Shut up.

AVClub commenters either A) despise the website or B) are the most boilerplate MSNBC-brained dorks imaginable without a single nuanced opinion about anything. I don’t see any reason a writer here would listen to them in either case.

God, I cannot believe pathetic Hillary obsessives still exist. Incredibly sad existence.

Yeah, you might have to deal with people lacking gym etiquette at the $10 / month gym. That’s life.

Honestly, the headline doesn’t really make sense to me. He wouldn’t have died if it weren’t the final season. Effectively, every character ‘dies’ this season as the show is ending. Weird headline that I’m fairly sure was written this way just so they’d get a little engagement via angry comments.

Okay, you’re right. Sorry.

Well, again, it’s inevitably going to be cheaper than seeing a live performance because why wouldn’t it be cheaper. On the other hand, if they continue to raise prices while offering nothing additional to moviegoers then the value of seeing a movie vs. another type of performance goes down. Saying “it’s still cheaper”

I mean, seeing a fucking movie better be cheaper than going to see a concert or a play with live performers. What a pointless thing to say.

I hope when you turn this in to your HS English class you get that B+ you’re angling for.

Worth mentioning that Tess is also only part of this story for a very short time. Investing in her character this much, making her tougher and more ruthless than characters who exist for more than two hours of the story, is a little counterintuitive.

I’m asking for clarification as somebody who 1. does not give a shit about Harry Potter at all and has absolutely no allegiance to JK Rowling and 2. has tried to look into Rowling’s comments that have pissed people off so much. I say this in good faith: I haven’t found anything that seemed very damning. I think people

Okay. I don’t care. Just pointing out that you kinda can’t read and, believe it or not, some girl in her early 30s might not love all your classic rock icons from the 60s and 70s.

Okay.

“Greatest living” is completely different from “greatest of all time.”

What the fuck are you talking about? Do you know what website you’re on?
