Target fixation. Humans tend to go where they look, which is why racing drivers always look ahead to the next apex, and NEVER look at the wreck unfolding in the periphery.
Worked ski patrol in a past life. If you had a snowmobile on a slope, someone would ski into it.
So weird how many supposed car people are opposed to putting a filter over their air intake.
I’m most amused at the suggestion to take out a loan for a one-way ticket to a new life on Mars. First, what bank would lend you money when you’re LITERALLY leaving to another planet and otherwise because, why the hell not arrive on Mars already in debt?
By the time we’re flying to mars, 100 grand buys a 12 pack. So sure.
A quick note. Cars and bikes both race at the Macau GP. But *not at the same time*.
The first R8 was great. It was a GT that fringed on supercar and started at $100k when F430's were double that and 612's were both almost triple the price and slower. “All of that up there is stuff Elon is pulling ex recto.”
Magnificent.
A poorly tuned ACC system is way more annoying than having regular old cruise control. I enjoy the system in my Audi, but my fathers Acura MDX ACC is awful. It doesn’t transition smoothly, the brake applications are jerky and the throttle inputs are uneven and excessive at times. A rental Pilot (which I’m assuming…
WHAT!? Strong disagree. I love that in every car I have. 100% it needs to have sensitivity adjustment available, and most do, but every time I get in a car that doesn’t have it I have to crank the music on the highway and then get my ears blown out when I get off. Though that might be because I drive shitboxes....
Just selling a car for a high price does not make it a “luxury” car.
“More riders obviously means more bike repairs, but the problem is budget bikes are breaking too often too soon and aren’t actually repairable.”
It’s a 36 year old pre-production car with double digit mileage. The only function this car has is in a museum.
