So, what are they going to do with it? Document, excavate and rebuild somewhere else? Reroute the metro? Or just go “nah, we’ve got enough of these old stones already, just throw’em in the bin”?

You’re right, it could be interpreted that way as well. The rule is still not clear-cut (it’s better than it used to be), and I guess that’s also one of the reasons why the stewards classified it a racing incident.

On a serious note, this is from the F1 Sporting Regulations:

I’m cautiously optimistic about the track, depending on its width in the braking zones and corners. If it’s Monaco-like, it’ll be a procession, but otherwise I’m expecting a race similar to Montreal and Singapore.

Everyone’s talking about Don Cherry, but keeping it in motorsports, I’d say we’ve found the American Eddie Jordan!

... Sometime after 2020.

Quite a hefty markup. If you extrapolate the $600/kWh, you end up with about 60% of the car’s price being determined by its battery.

This. A GTI (and any hot hatch actually) is supposed to be a run-of-the-mill car injected with some extra power and treated to some chassis finetuning, resulting in a daily driver that’s also fun on the occasional backroad.
No doubt a MKI or MKII is more involving to drive, purer even, but at this point it’s a classic,

I’m not completely won over either (I actually prefer the MX-5), but you can see where they’re coming from:

Burning Man’s got bugs, this thing’s got people lining up for flowery coffee. I know which one I’d prefer.

War. War never changes. Until it does.

The way we Europeans can: painted Blu Isola d’Elba (which seems to be different from the optional Azzurro Italia on the standard 124).
If it helps to take the pain away: the Abarth is 50% more expensive than the Lusso here, but has 30 more horses (170 vs 140).

Aren’t the flaps on the roof supposed to prevent this from happening? Or do they only work in one slip direction, as seems to be the case on the #48?

If at first you don’t succeed, just it him again.

You guys are apparently getting the Abarth extremely cheap. Over here (Europe), the top trim 2.0l ND (160hp) and top trim Fiat 124 (140hp) each cost about the same, give or take a couple €100. The Abarth (170hp) however is a whopping 50% more expensive than either of those (40k vs 27k).

There are just two things that annoy me about Paris: the Parisians and the tourists.

“Dark times lie ahead of us...”

Someone should tell Tavarish that rotaries will become the new engine of choice for the green brigade!

It looks like the motors are the bottleneck? Camera refresh rate is still quite a bit higher than the key rate, and the processing speed should supposedly be high enough as well.

It’s actually not his WRC car, but one built to AP4 regulations (similar to R5).
