Someone else suggested Fables and I'm iffy on it - kind of over the fairy tale retelling trend. What do you find problematic about it?

They both sound great - thanks!!

I just looked up The Middleman and it sounds perfect for the research I'm trying to do! Thank you! I've heard about Fables and been interested in it but I'm turned off by a lot of fairy tale retellings (for example, I love Ever After. I hate Once Upon a Time). But you think it's worth checking out?

I can't believe I didn't think of that! I love the movie. Thanks!!

Nope, not restricting myself to anything and I'd love any manga recommendations! Thanks!

Thanks for the idea! Dark Phoenix is actually probably perfect jumping off point but I never would have thought of it because I HATED the way the movie handled her story. And thanks for the link!!

Yeah, I just felt bad that this poor girl had to get her heart stomped on in order for me to get my glorious moment.

Oh yeah that is a different thing altogether. If she's asking for big ticket items that they already have at home it's totally weird.

Yay for new and much improves boyfriends!!

That sounds similar to another shitty ex I had who used to say terrible things to me privately (like how he would consider dumping me for his ex if she ever wanted him back, or that his family and friends thought he could do better) and I would lash out publicly. So of course all our friends only ever saw me giving

Is this baby a different type of baby the the first one? If she needs pink instead of blue onesies or whatever I could understand a second shower. But it is really obnoxious to advertise her registry all over the place and since she's not a close friend, meh, don't go to the shower. It doesn't sound like the

I had an ex who turned out to be a super asshole who I couldn't get away from because we were in the same small program, at a small school, in a small town. Most of the people my year or older knew he'd treated me badly, but the newbies hadn't been there to witness it. So he became closer with some of the new students

I am seething with jealousy. Austin, how I miss you!

Wise and cool Jezzies, can those of you who are knowledgable about comics or graphic novels make some recommendations for me? I had an idea for a writing project that would heavily incorporate comics, but it isn't something I know that much about. Are there any good series or graphic novels you would suggest? I'm

I'm a New Yorker living in exile in Florida. I say we make a break for it and go to Sweden and just buy some of those sun lamps!

I love him and Anna Faris so I can't begrudge her her amazing husband. But I do want a Chris Pratt of my very own.

Eek. That response is no good.

Yep. I never understood the appeal of John Hughes movies (except Ferris Bueller). The endings are always random and unsatisfying. It's just bad filmmaking. I understand the strong draw of nostalgia but how did they get to be so popular in the first damn place?

According to BTVS mythology the majority of slayers don't live much past their teens. Even with their super strength, slayers are expected to be horribly murdered at the hands of some evil or another. I'd say that's underdog.

Yup. I was already in a punchy mood and now this fucking guy. FUCK HIM. That is all.
