Hahaha! Wow that really made me laugh.

Yeah, I trust that Rowling will write a great script and there's potential for more excitement as it takes shape, but just the idea itself I feel pretty neutral about.

That would be the one I'd get most excited about. Fantastical Beasts is like, tangentially related to Harry Potter (and besides the centaurs I'm meh HP's magical creatures) but a movie set in/about Hogwarts would be way more of a return to that world.

Yeah, part of it is definitely that I don't love any of the movies half as much as I love the books. Although maybe that could work in this movie's favor since the challenges of adapting the source material won't be as much of an issue.

I care mildly about baseball, a lot about soccer, and not at all about any other sport, and every guy I've ever dated has cared far far less than me about sports. I don't know where that stereotype comes from. I know so many guys who couldn't care less.

That is cruel and unusual punishment. They should have at least let you pick a sports-related topic you found interesting.

I don't know if it was a joke but honestly, so many people relate tampon use to a sexual act. Combine that with misinformation/complete lack of understanding about how women have orgasms, it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were people who thought women could get off using tampons.

Am I the only Harry Potter fan who isn't going crazy about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? I'm not unexcited, but I'm definitely not feeling like this is going to be the best thing ever so amazing ahhhhhhhhhhh thing everybody else seems to have going on.

Glad to be useful!

I ended up making some very good friends when I went to Scotland for grad school, but it took some time. I tried to get really involved in the events my department held, because that way I ended up seeing a lot of the same people again and again, and I knew they had similar interests to mine. Some of us grad students

There's some Tumblr post floating around saying "I don't understand how women don't orgasm from putting a tampon in." The extent to which people don't understand sex and women's bodies in regards to sex boggles the mind.

I never had this problem with my own mom but it's definitely a thing I heard from friends when I was a teenager. I took swimming as my gym option one semester and I ended up teaching another girl in class how to use a tampon because her mother was dead set against them, and our gym teacher wouldn't accept having your

An article from Vulture where 3 actors (they don't reveal their names for the piece) talk about sex scenes. I don't think it totally answers your question but gets into similar territory. http://www.vulture.com/2012/03/shooti…

Yeah I get that you were being sarcastic. And if you want to be pissed that people were insulting you for your beliefs that is understandable. But being petulant that people appreciate the pope's comments seems counter productive. A Catholic guy says women should be denied education - yes, people on a feminist website

You're really unclear as to why people would start to warm to a pope that says the church shouldn't persecute people for their sexual orientation and hey let's not hate on women? I personally won't be on the Francis love train unless the massive child molestation problems are adequately addressed, but if someone

Even though I agree with you about gender essentialism being damaging, I think sometimes addressing immediate realities trumps arguing rhetoric. I want to see childcare considered valuable work for people of any gender, but the current reality is that more women act as caregivers, and as someone who was a nanny in

Just looking at her on Cougar Town I always think she looks amazing.

Oh I know that. But I still think she looks awesome.

That is how I feel about Christa Miller (obviously not the Greek Wedding part) - every single time I look at her I think HOW are you 49? And can I please look that good in 20 years? Or now?

No worries, someone's posted it already.
