I went to Toronto and Niagara Falls back in 2005.  Ontario wine country around Niagara Falls is lovely and you can bike from vineyard to vineyard.  I don’t know if there is a place to rent or borrow bikes, though.

I agree with you, but it would probably end up being a Renegade clone or maybe an actual slightly lifted station wagon, but with Front-biased AWD (which might even be optional).
