His profile has been raised to the upper echelon since leaving SA. Whether it is his catch phrase, his laugh, or him beating the world devouring Warriors, people that are casually aware of the NBA now know who he is and he about to play in the country's second largest media market. His finances are fine without you

What I love about this, is that the PG part came out of no where, so none of the talking heads that took guesses and pretended they were sourced can claim victory.

I’m almost of the opinion that Kawhi was literally playing all those sources for what it was worth to make sure that the trade happened. If the Lakers and Raptors knew they were out, then the Clippers wouldn’t have been as desperate to close the deal as they were.

I agree that part of why Kawhi didn’t go to Lakers is that the Lakers organization are messy bitches who live for drama. And they’re leaky as fuck. He also didn’t want to live in the LeBron and Rich Paul kingdom.

The LA teams are both depending on multiple injury prone players to stay healthy all year. Also that an earthquake doesn’t level the Staples Center.  Those are long odds!

He also got blocked 3 times by the only decent defender that matched up against him all night. Mitchell Robinson was having none of the Zion hype.

No, you got it wrong, you are supposed to concern troll the Lakers.

It would be awesome if Kawhi came out and said that one of the reasons he left Toronto was because Drake was too clingy and he just needed some space, man.

Chris Broussard is on it, everyone:

That is an awesome situation for him, and way beyond what Toronto or the Lakers could have offered him. Good on him - plays in the city he wants, with another superstar he likes and a great supporting cast and good front office.

Works for me. My preferred destinations for Kawhi were:

This shit went sideways and I love it

I’d agree if it was just for Paul George, but it seems like PG going to LAC was a big part of Kahwi’s decision, so it’s essentially a trade for both players. And OKC knew that, so they could kind of gouge the Clippers.

As an OKC fan, I’m okay with this trade. I mean in 2 seasons, Russ and PG had 1st round playoff exits. What was their ceiling, maybe a 2nd round exit? So get something in return for PG and try to rebuild.

Okc was left with no choice?

I was very ready to not watch NBA basketball for the next couples years. At least now I can hate watch the Rockets still. I'll also enjoy watching the Lebron fail to win another championship.

Russ is going to average 40 ppg next season!

I think there needs to be a footnote on every mention of the LA river, for those who’ve never been to LA.

No one ever said switching to triathlons was easy.  RIP
