Oh no! None of my gifs worked! Boo!

Here, have a gif party instead. :)

Honestly, you’d think I’d said I’d never heard of Jane Austen or something.

I don’t know about terrifying, but it looks cute. Will watch on Netflix.

So it’s agreed, right? The intensity of the Mitheads has put the rest of us off ever reading about the Mitford sisters, right? Because their fervor is, well, it’s something.

Or anyone who doesn’t know things that you know, apparently. You seem fun.

And yet, and yet, and yet....

Amen. This whole article presumed a high level of knowledge of these gals. But I kept going “yeah, but WHO ARE THEY.”

Haha. I’m getting that. :)

Haha you mean the Dionne Quintuplets? Yeah, my mom talked about them. SOOO much.

Did anyone else out there with an eating disorder try to influence other peoples ways of eating?

I know, right? Looks like somebody is getting awfully fussy.

I haven’t heard of the Mitfords. I’m not upset about it. A lot of other people seem upset about it for some reason, but I don’t care at all. It’s not because I’m too old or too young or too Canadian or whatever. I’ve just never heard of them. Just haven’t. It’s okay. My life has, oddly enough, been entirely normal and

Yeah me too. I love both English history and pop culture. In fact one of my favourite time periods to read about happens to be England from 1850-1950. I’ve even read two books by Lady Carnarvon, current resident of Highclere Castle (where Downton Abbey takes place), as well as lots of behind-the-scenes of Downton

Well obviously not, based on how many of us have never heard of them.

Yeah, no. Just cuz you’ve heard of them doesn’t mean other people have. I’m neither American nor under 30. I just haven’t heard of them, that’s all.

Your ennui and snark is exhausting.

Well I for one am a Canadian in my 40's and I’ve never heard of them, nor have I ever heard anybody mention them in any context before today. I read a lot of historical fiction that takes place in early 20th century England, and watch a lot of history shows. But yet, nope, never heard of them. Whatevs.

You might just be too young for the loop.

Yeah, I think I’ll just skip the Mitfords and go watch Grey Gardens again instead. Oh, and the Fred Armisen parody of it!
