And that is exactly how unfair systems are allowed to continue. Someone has to be willing to make the sacrifice for the greater good. Where would the world be if Martin Luther King Jr. said, “You know what being arrested is too hard ... it’s a lot easier to just keep quiet?”

I wouldn’t be so quick to blame Vontaze for such a monumental lapse in judgement.

That whole lude scene when he’s trying to get to the car...just amazing physical acting there. I totally agree.

I can totally picture Lori Loughlin manically laughing for 3-5 minutes.

I’m all tearing that butt up when needed

I’ll never forget the Simpsons episode when Milhouse gets distracted by a girl so Bart gives him an Omar Vizquel baseball card for Milhouse’s Carl Yastrzemski. That had to be the most wicked burn for a guy who was just getting started in baseball, and who ironically ended up being pretty good.

Halladay knows all about steroids, being a medical professional and all.

Vizquel would be a bad choice. There are a bunch of Hall of Famers near him in career WAR (Lou Brock, for example), but he’s also lower than no-chance guys at his position like Jimmy Rollins and Miguel Tejada (who is apparently still active!).

“I’m just telling you what my childhood was like. Not my childhood, but someone else’s.”

“And another brutal thing? The rampant nepotism akin to a Tinsel-Town legacy system that closes opportunities to people of color. Whoops.”

Eh, it’s less to convince them, and more to convince anyone who might read the exchange and think it’s cool to parrot what they saw on the internets. You’re right though.

Sure. But they were wrong, DePo won the hell out of the Lo Duca/Penny swap. Especially if you include the subsequent Murphy/Finley deal.

By Frank McCourt, because of the scorn of Plaschke and Simers. Honestly DePo should put that on his resume with a gold star.

I’m not sure why people would rip on this.

That’s my new scale. Thank you.

“Uh, yeah, my name is...Billy. Uh, Billy......Football.”

I’m not making a moral argument. The NFL should pay anyone working for them real wages. But cheerleaders aren’t moneymakers, they just aren’t. Even if I use the numbers you presented, that small amount is completely irrelevant. So the end result of this will be just getting rid of the cheerleaders. Seven teams in the
