3rd Gear: Americans Keep Buying Nissans

Must be one of those insta-heal technologically advanced first-aid kits. I've seen them in video games, patches up bullet wounds and makes you good as new in 10 seconds.

OR a V8 TDI.

OR a supercharged V10.

Now playing

As an Audi fan, I can assure you the answer will always be a "do not buy" ifit's an A model. The A3 was basically a filler so Audi could say, "Hey! We aren't that expensive! This thing starts <$30k! Wouldn't you much rather have this over that stupid Camry?" and it was priced just cheap enough under the far better A4

For that price I can get a B5 S4 with a lot more power and AWD.

This is the list broke college students like me need.

Dear Hyundai and Kia,

The Corvette has a cargo volume of 15 cu ft. Coupes and sedans normally have around 10-13 cu ft. I consider that good enough. If you need more than 15 cu ft to haul around your things you shouldn't be getting a sports car in the first place. I hear owners in my town always talk about how practical the Corvette is (if

For a while it looked there was a renaissance of the cheap RWD sports car with the Toyobaru twins, and concepts from Chevrolet, Kia, and Nissan, but then nothing. FR-S/BRZ sales are tapering off and those concepts have all seemed to disappear.

A shooting brake is the perfect, sexy marriage of a coupe and a wagon. It's the sort of thing that makes true car geeks get weak at the knees, but automakers are clearly blind to see their massive sales appeal.

BOARD THE MOTHERSHIP!

Your dense walls of crystallized water are no match for torque and inertia.

In Nissan's defense, their racecars are probably the only interesting thing about their entire automotive lineup. I would show them off, too.

Just like my ass.

Nissan's entire design staff should just be fired and replaced. They have not made one good looking car in the past several years.

Hopefully not, all sedans should become 5-door sportbacks like the Audi RS7:

This thing will be like the BRZ in the fact that it doesn't matter how rich you are, all of us car enthusiasts are going to want one.

Good thing we're spending our tax dollars outrageously on the military while they sit around bored having no one to fight instead of updating our infrastructure that's considered mediocre for even 1990's standards. Also, good thing our government wants everyone else to solve their problems for them. Also, good thing

Porsche, as usual, has shown what amazing things their engineers can come up with. However, I don't think this engine really belongs on the road. A 2.0L flat four? Definitely. A 2.0L inline four? Sure, why not?
