Still waiting for the citation on who the Brotherhood of Islam are, or when the Saudi crowned prince chose to infiltrate the political left here in the US.
“We think younger viewers will really be drawn by the star power of Ezra Miller.”
Yeah this is a pretty embarrassing hit piece, frankly, and makes Jezebel look pretty bad, because it’s such a failed attempt at serious journalism.
Get Lee Pace and Lance Reddick to be the permanent hosts, with them alternating every two weeks. I will tune in just hear them read out loud. Who wants to hear answers read by Ken Jennings when you can hear those same answers read by Pace and Reddick? No one, that’s who.
I don’t usually get into the the comments this early, so I’ll address the TST question in a bit, but first, I just want to say this:
Wow, this is utterly tone deaf and particularly inappropriate coming on the tails of yesterday’s SCOTUS ruling. We’re all in this fight together and putting out an inaccurate hit piece against TST helps no one. For those interested, here’s the full context and response from Lucien Greaves’ free patreon:
This isn’t a “valid issue with nu pronoun culture”. It’s ALSO an issue when you are referring to two singular people of the same gender when the use of the pronoun makes the subject ambiguous. And that happens a lot.
Please tell us which “United States as we know it” you mean? The 2022 US or the 2019 US? Or is it the 2012 US? Or is it the United States in 2000? Perhaps you mean the United States as I knew it in 1990? Because they ain’t the same.
This kind of confusion is a perennial issue with pronouns. When there is more than one he or she it’s always a little challenging to clarify who is who. The judicious use of names and pronouns is something the writer has to figure out. The only thing I find difficult as an aging, all-the-privileges Gen Xer is getting…
Absolutely, they’ll say one thing do another. Oh, this affected you as you say it did? Great, pay for any of your staff members to go to another country all expenses paid to get an abortion, no question asked.
But oh no you see, then it will be too expensive for them.
You’re GOD DAMN right
Do you even realize that you have misidentified the concern? It’s not about gendered pronouns, but about singular vs. plural/ambiguous pronouns.
Is there any chance that we are misconstruing the whole “buying of the farm” bit and that Ezra Miller is actually dead?
Not to sound too hopeful or anything.
I said on a previous article that after Death on the Nile got released despite Armie Hammer’s rape-cannibal shit, I didn’t think there was anything that could get The Flash out of theatrical release. But I may have to reconsider if there’s a manhunt/ ongoing trial for allegations involving abused minors.
I really want the phrase “filled with guns and weed” to appear in my obituary.
how DARE u bring up this valid issue with nu pronoun culture
I’m sorry but the use of ‘they’, ‘them’ and ‘their’ while referring to Ezra Miller in an article where other parties are involved is getting frustratingly out of hand. Can’t you just say Ezra Miller, Ezra Miller’s, Miller or Miller’s?
Peacock and Paramount Plus don’t have Netflix’s inflated sense of self-importance.
