I’m growing more and more uncomfortable with the seemingly increasing progressive notion that people’s backgrounds must be fully delved into and punishment doled out for things they did years and years ago, retroactive, permanent punishment. It strikes me as so anti-liberal.

I used to show horses and often brought my corgi dog to the show grounds. Usually he was in stall with a bunch of the other barn dogs. But one time I was there to spectate/cheer on a barn mate so I brought him ringside. This woman was a new rider and very timid, so our trainer wanted us to show support,

So much for the First Amendment. Also, don’t tell me who I can have talk to me about other people’s kids.

When my brother and I were little, we did “gymnastics” at this local place in town. Really, it was just us rolling around on the mats, hanging on the bars, and climbing through tunnels. It was recreational fun. My parents were happy to have us out of their hair for an hour or so.

“I don’t like the concept of monogamy, but I DO like letting my wife believe I do so she’ll be home with a hot dinner waiting for me at night, keeping the house clean and parenting my children so I have plenty of time and mental space to obsess about what else I deserve out of life.”

‪I had an unexpected affair three years ago.

so that I can seek out potential pussy options

I didn’t like any of this. As someone who has been cheated on multiple times, this made me queasy. I didn't like his answers or candor about it. No I will not "find myself in this situation someday", if I am with someone and want to be with someone else, I'll end my current relationship first cuz I'm not a fuckhead.

“The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company,

And here’s a flip side: I was on many, many terrible teams when I was a kid, and received many many terrible participation trophies (and one car-shaped pencil sharpener!). Everyone - good athletes, bad athletes, good teams, bad teams - knew these things were a joke. They were shiny and kinda cool but kinda

I can picture it on a valentine: “Will you B(DS)Mine?”

I love these articles that boil down to “be a fucking adult”.

A little girl was telling me about the movie Emily Rose and she was afraid of getting possessed by demons. She didn't like the fact that her mom was making her watch scary movies. I knew some of the real story it was based on. I told her a little about it and that the girl was suffering from some kind of mental

E’Dena Hines was not exorcised. She was murdered, allegedly at the hands of her boyfriend. Which is much more mundane, and much more frightening.

Diana, the most anomalous thing here for me is the gag order (full disclosure: I’m a non-practicing lawyer). This appears to be a garden-variety rape case involving a largely unknown football player. I can’t recall the last time I heard of a gag order in a case like this.

Isn’t this how it is supposed to happen? Accuser doesn’t get outed and dragged through the mud, accused maintains the presumption of innocence in the public eye and the 2 parties face off in a courtroom in front of a judge and jury?

As far as these things go I would take this over the mess that is going on with Kane or what went on with Winston.

It’s not removing the seats, it’s HONORING them!!!!

If only there was an organization that looked out for Italian Americans, that could advocate on her behalf, that could negotiate with the museum, maybe make them an offer that they perhaps might have a hard time refusing.

New York: Where we remove all traces of authenticity, then complain there is nothing authentic left.
