I don’t see why unmodified vehicles should be exempt. The point of noise laws is to address resudents’ noise desires. You can purchase any number of things that violate local ordinances, but like with speed limits, it’s up to the buyer not to do so.

You blatantly missed the concepts of “literal super = not made to be quiet = = still qualified to be sold in region X despite”

Ha, agree that microphones can be deceptive. My wife has an Apple Watch and with an infant and a 2 year old she regularly gets “dangerously loud environment” warnings when they get riled up.

Any Jeep that is modified to the point that it’s useless for most things. Huge wheels that would be terrible offroad. Suspension so tall it would be a terrible daily driver. So ugly that it’s not a show car. Why did you spend $30k making your Jeep terrible and useless?

what if your car is passing by during a pickleball tourney?

I was thinking of Tamiya’s The Frog:

I had the same thought. Most of that list was harmless fun.

So, to the ban everything guy, why are you at a car site again? Most of what you hate is perfectly harmless. You’re getting your blood pressure up over nothing. Oh no, flame decals, someone call the authorities!

I agree overall, though i believe, in general, that electronic/technological means of enforcement do usually have pretty stingent calibration requirements.  How well THOSE are maintained/enforced is yet another consideration.

Or have a neighbor friendly “Quiet mode” like your more pedestrian mustang

It’s a modern supercar with a DCT. Just keep it in auto when in the city and you will cruise around in a high gear and the car can be decently quiet because that’s what it’s designed to do. It’s only when you start dropping gears and keeping the revs up that they can crazy loud.  As long as you are not running in

We should absolutely be fining loud babies. Lots of people enjoy the sound of a Lambo, no one is saying “oh cool a screaming baby”

Funny part it they really aren’t that loud when driven normally. When it involves noise, I’m finding more and more people are getting annoyed at ANY noise above a whisper and that to is excessive and controlling.

I don’t disagree with you, but cities and towns can make their own laws on these things. I assume this is whats happening here.

South Park’s F Word episode is still relevant today, nearly 15 years later.

Every Euro car show. I used this photo because it looked the most accurate.

Does Ford market the Maverick as a truck that can go anywhere, do anything, and survive the apocalypse?

A real big fan of this car!

whatever the occasion. Pepperidge Farm remembers.

This is a very slippery slope.
