It’s 100% culture war, and being that Toyota has such a stakehold in Texas, I am shocked this is even flying. Outside of the BZ4x which isn’t doing well, there are still many plug-in options and I’d be surprised if there wasn’t even the smallest amount of resistance from the folks in Plano over this.
On one hand, you have a point, and that taxes will need to be re-evaluated at some point regarding EVs. On the other, this all reeks of culture war bullshit.
…but then you’d have to be seen driving it.
those things arent depreciating as quickly as i would like.

All these suggestions suck. Get a Ferrari 348. Take one kid at a time out for ice cream or French fries. Resell the car in a couple years for a profit. Most solid, reliable Ferrari built that you can wrench on yourself; won’t need maintenance for the couple years you own it. Live the dream, YOLO, and all that.
Really, no one picked an E63 or an M5?

Yep... here’s my Grand Marquis.
Or you could be like this guy I found parked the other day with stock Isuzu Impulse rims!
Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.
I’m convinced.
