This sounds good in theory but how is this going to be enforced. who gets punished?? both parties?? imagine missing your flight because you got kicked off for consensual hugs. yeah somehow my edit did not go through on the prius vs prime price. The fuel economy on the Prime has two numbers the xse and xse premium has 19 inch wheels give you a penalty of 4 mpg on gas and 5 miles of electric range less compared to the 33k SE trim has 52mpg on gas and 45 miles on EV.

The prius prime starts at 33k the regular prius starts at 33k its not exactly appes to apples because the prime has more power, and a few more standard features.

Phevs are just “premium” hybrids. You get more power, more battery capacity, more efficiency. The trade off is the up front cost. If you think of then as an alternative to an ev thats when things go sideways. If you never take the longer 250+miles drives then i can understand the FOMO from not buying an ev instead.

If losing 20k value in 2-3 years is a pretty good reason not to buy used one its going to depreciate even further! Also if you had 35k to spend and wanted german luxury why would’t you just get a 3 series or c class?

why aren’t there battle drones? also couldn’t something less than lethal to humans be good ordinance against drones? Sand?  bean bags? a net?  fireworks? 

my only complaint with this gen is it had low ground clearance car tires it would have been a little better with 2.5 inches more ride height and a bit more sidewall.  the one in this post looks like it has a lift kit.

ram stopped production so soon because they have over a year supply of all of stelantis vehicles sitting on dealer lots.  Stelantis will be shutting down production of a lot more stuff unless sales picks up ( not likely) 

this truck is going to be bricked somehow during police duty. spend months in a tesla service center and then the warranty will be voided because it’s a police vehicle.  That or it will be wrecked in the first couple months. 

this is just what you get when a bankrupt company designs a car. if you look on the roads today all you see is a “modern” version of the caliber that doesn’t suck (as much) from every other automaker.

i like all of these (maybe not the cybertruck.) trucks are in a weird spot because its the only class of vehicles that not only has to be functional for contractors it also has to serve as luxo barges for the super wealthy and upper middle class.

that is not the ONLY thing giving the chinese EV companies advantage. The Chinese ev companies are super vertically integrated, they make all of their own parts. instead of the other auto companies who have middleman third party suppliers.
