used cars are still insane right now. so much pent up demand for new cars plus high interest rates means more people are only able to afford/only want to pay /can only find  used cars. 

the bolt’s top speed is only 90mph so while it is quick to 60 it starts running out of steam at about 80mph. so the hyundai kona (turbo version) actually catches up by the end of the quarter mile. they have the horsepower wrong on the Kona. the Kona has a 190 horsepower 1.6 turbo but there is also a 2.0 naturally aspirated engine.

Getting these adaptors a proper UL code so they could be certified would be a great start. Then people could be fined for non compliance and it would make shopping for these adapters easier you would just have to look for the UL certification and know you are good.

not just the tire size but the rubber compound makes a huge difference. My prius stops just fine with 195/65/15 tires. But my old tires were less-than premium and it got hairy in the wet. My new bridgestones practically stop on a dime.

some of the issues is a lack of grip. its not that tight of a curve but that is some smooth slick concrete. the other issue is the blind corner less than 100 foot into an intersection. that is not usual at all. 

Also there are other friction surfaces that could be used other than the smoothest shinyest concrete. they could put grooves in the concrete at least.
