As the water rises there will be less land available so technically it would be a great asset assuming you stayed above sea level.

Car prices were already high before the union strike. Also i guess selling stake in denso makes sense as electric cars will have much fewer replacement parts.

Hope i can get a TRD Sport with a manual and a six foot bed. I would get two wheel drive as i would rather go off roading in a four wheeler than my daily driver.  I would probably need a raise to afford a car note or interest rates would need to come down ... or both .... As an aside i wonder if new taco metal would

Chevrolet sold a 4 door S10 and sales were low. GM was wise enough to offer a 4 door colorado when it launched but I don’t remember seeing many of them until the later years of that generation as they were VERY expensive and the consensus was “i’ll just buy a 1500 instead of spending all this money on a midsize truck”

it’s complicated I understand. If oil producers can make the cost of oil cheap enough then alternatives are more expensive by comparison and oil can stay relevant longer. But ultimately the consumers are the ones purchasing and consuming the product.

People want hybrids and its obvious vw is not interested in keeping their ice models fresh because they are banking on a huge shift to BEVs and they see any ice development as just a waste of money. Maybe in 10 years they will be top of the heap but now vw is just middle of the road in all categories.

Giant sailboats are the vinyl record players for rich people.

Potential hot take but i don’t understand shaming the UAE for producing oil when the west are the ones consuming it.  If oil was not being consumed then it would not be produced.

Here’s a “stupid car” that i secretly love: the Caddilac Catera. was it a stupid cadillac? yes. was it a great car Also yes! Americans just did not want to pay a premium for a car this small in the late 90s early 2000s. 12 years later that trend flipped and now you see bmw 1 series and Audi 3 series everywhere.

i’m more concerned about the window seal not being flat.... Those defects seem minor but for $8,000 it should be flawless.  I’m personally hoping factory wrapped cars become more of a thing because you can pick out your own custom color and it will protect the factory paint for when you sell the car.

my first car was a 1992 Chevy s10 and I miss it every day. Hard to find a clean s10 in 2023. The original owners kept great care of them usually but the 2nd owners were broke and only bought them because they were cheap and either beat them to death or neglected them or both.

you could get the manual with the blazer!

Just have to watch financing. Interest rates are NUTS right now and used cars have even higher rates.

Yeah the maverick is the perfect storm of right product, right time, right price. Very similar to the original mustang. I can see the maverick being like a “generational” car. When people think of the 2020s they will likely think of the Ford Maverick and cars like it. Super practical, efficient, rugged, inexpensive

The engine will cycle on and off so the engine will run for one or two minutes and it will run off the hybrid battery for 15ish minutes and repeat.

This is a shame but you could only get the hybrid powertrain on the top spec explorer anyway.

I really like the Ace hardware in Creola but that’s about it.

Everyone just needs to get the word out to avoid these towns like the plague. There is a town in alabama just like this called robertsdale. I refuse to go to robertsdale for any reason. Sure they may make a million dollars in speeding tickets but how many millions of dollars are they loosing in people not stopping to

I really like how large the glass is on the third window. Most in this class you just get a porthole. Having a full size window gives it an old school suv vibe like a first gen explorer or jeep cherokee.

Plus if you can afford a 4 year old escelade you probably can afford a brand new one.. so the price has to get low enough to get to an income bracket that would consider it.
