this is odd. Why can’t a 4 cylinder meet emissions in a small car? What engine would they put in a larger crossover like a Sante `Fe?

late 98s sebring convertible. it was hilarious how s low this car was. I hope something was wrong with the engine but it drove like a battleship. It felt like it took 12 seconds to get to 50mph i don’t think it ever made it to 60 while we were driving it.
The compass and the Cherokee has way too much price overlap and they are too close in size. I think the compass is just Cannibalizing the Cherokee, especially so since the Compass was very recently refreshed and the Cherokee hasnt received any updates in years.
Have you shopped for cars lately? there are 2017 Honda civics on the lot for $20,000
Mississippi and Louisiana roads are fucking trash I could not exist there and drive a sedan. (source live in Alabama and visit frequently in my Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Prius)
Personally I think that the Toyota Crown is a great choice and that is what I would recommend it seems like a lot of car for the money, however the car is new and I have no idea if you actually CAN get one for 50 grand due to dealer markups i’m sure these will be a hot item next year.
Dude drives 160 miles a day.
this is true, everyone needs their cars at the same damn time. Hense traffic. If people all drove at different times there would be no damn traffic and this would work.
Toyota 1uz-fe. this single engine launched the entire lexus brand and also the country of Japan into the Luxury car segment in the usa. It runs forever, is certified for Aviation use, and has amazing NVH.
i was in gamestop yesterday and SO MUCH crap was on clearence. right before christmas ... not sure if this is a good sign or a bad sign but it is a sign of something..
I read that the current awd prius the rear motor only turns on below 18 mph it’s more about getting you going from a stop. Curious if the new version is any different.
I drive a 2014 prius and i love my car. One of the anoying things is how many turns lock to lock on the steering wheel. The steering wheel feels like your driving a bus but in such a small car its just wierd. Hopefully the new prius steering wheel is more “normal” rotations.
I drive a 14 prius and its faster than my work van with a v8 fully loaded with product and tools. I think people are just fearful of actually going full throttle on cars. The only time i wish i had more power is when your behind someone who decides to merge on the interstate at 30mph because you cant just boot the…
8k markup on civic SI’s and 5k markup on base model civics. also the fit is not longer in production looks like the drop is sales is right in line with a lack of high volume low cost options for the mainstream people on a budget ..
dealers made “record profits” over the last two years. And also ford is trying to make a new brand out of “model e.” Ultimately the courts will decide but I can see ford having a strong case. I don’t see how the government can force an oem to sell a dealer their entire lineup if an oem is inclined not to.
Sequia. if you are okay with 2wd (you are currently getting by with a 2wd accord so i assume you would be) you can get a Limited for under 70k out the door. or spend an extra 6 grand and get the middle captains chairs , heated and ventilated front and rear seats, real leather vs pleather, and a few other upgrades. …
my son is 9 and still rides in a car seat/booster. thats 3 car seats.
OEM’s can basically require dealers to tear down their whole building and rebuild it to meet their new “standards” Ive seen it multiple times where dealerships have to massively remodel their buildings to meet the new Look Honda, Lexus, Chevy, Toyota, ect are going for. If manufacturers can do that then effectively…
you are right that scalping is not a good reason for an oem to raise prices. But people forget that scalpers is one of the main reasons why dealers are charging markup and pretend like dealerships being forced to sell at msrp will solve the problem but scalpers will just buy all the cars at msrp and mark them up…
Replacement ev batteries are much more expensive than $3000. $3000 does not even buy you a new battery in a hybrid toyota prius. The Mustang mach E battery costs $24,000 to replace. That is over 8 years of premium gasoline in your Mustang gt. Plus you would have to calculate your electricity costs while it is not…
