is it impossible to buy stateside and freight the bike to hawaii? Sorry if I’m ignorant to Hawaii.

The stinger is a great car. From what I have read/heard from first hand accounts there are many people who were initially interested in purchasing the car but the kia dealers sucked so hard they were put off from buying them. Anything from not allowing any test drives to dealer markups, not allowing them to purchase

But Why does the law have to benefit the automakers? Sure it is kinda lame that the shiney car that you WANT might not qualify for the 7500 ev tax credit but you are incentivised to get the car that has the battery sourced on us soil instead. The original ev tax credits goal was to offset the cost to get more people

increased the base price but added standard features. Not a bad tradeoff.

Why should you compromise? As the bill sits now the automakers have the pressure put on them to get their battery supplied on us soil as soon as possible. If you change it now the automakers can take their sweet time and either lobby for a repeal of the law or just drag their feet and take 10+ years to source the

The passport has the bones of the ridgeline the pilot has the bones of ... a minivan

I’m against changing it. Right now supply is so limited that no matter what the metal will move so “saving” jobs is a non issue. The goal is to bring the battery factories to the US. If you are going to introduce a “phase in period” I would like the see the Income limit reduced to 100,000 for individuals 180,000 for

very well put. Auction them off worst case scenario they end up back in the hands of the Russian oligarchs and they get seized again.

If somebody told me two years ago that McDonalds paid more than a car factory I would say they lost their damn minds but here we are.

Realistically the Subaru Outback or the Toyota Venza would be the ideal size for practicality daily driving. However If I had unlimited funds I would buy a full size truck or possibly a full size van in a heartbeat because trucks are fucking awesome.

adding gears would reduce range more than it would hurt. you have so much efficiency having a “direct drive” zero gears. You would gain efficiency from the lower rpms but you would lose efficiency from mechanical friction/loss by adding all the extra gears/ mechanisms to change gears. Also Electric motors energy

welcome to the south. when everyone’s conservative nobody is.

how would they know how much of your mileage was in your home state and how much was out of state? Also getting rid of the gas tax is dumb especially in a tourist/travel state like GA because of how many people from out of town drive on their roads every single day.

Toyota Tacoma. reliable, easy to work on, needs little maintenance. find a 4x4 4 cylinder extended cab model like the one pictured and this can take your high schooler all the way through college

I think porsche still does the paint to sample option. it’s a very high dollar option but you can do that on all of their cars still. I wish fun colors were more common but everyone thinks cars have to make some statement about their respectableness’ they go with white or silver or beige to play it safe. Or they are

My nomination is the first gen bmw X1 with the turbo six cylinder engine. It looks like every compact crossover that you see on the road today so you would expect this to be a slow commuter car. stock form it will do 0-60 in 5.4 seconds and a 14.0 quarter mile. It has all of the aftermarket support for that engine so

0-60 in 7 seconds and 15 second quarter mile. I don’t know if that’s really a sleeper.

it’s really not that fast. 13.7 quarter mile and a 2.0t Honda Accord quarter mile is 13.9. Ford really dropped the ball on that car it had all the right ingredients but the end product did not live up to its’ hype and large price tag.

DCTs are more expensive, complicated and have drivability issues at low speed. At some point torque converters got “good enough” for even track use case. I can see why somebody would enjoy driving a DCT but I think that the masses have either no preference or like the torque converter for either it’s cost savings or

car technology used to advance at rapid pace so one year to the next would have vastly different options or even body styles. Sometimes they even did a mid-year update! Now yearly changes mostly car to car and brand to brand. I anticipate smartphones adopting “model year” strategys. TV manufacturers are slowly
