there are millions of millionaires in the USA. also an even greater number of people who make deep six figure salaries.

You are making the auto manufacturers argument why it is best to NOT to give you the lease buyout option.

counterpoint: the market is to volatile to the Manufacturer to calculate a fair lease buyout for both parties. The Auto manufacturer doesn’t want to lose money just like you do. Also the company can be SUED by their shareholders if they do not act in the best interest of the shareholders. The old system doesn’t work

you could have shit credit or only $2,000 as a down payment or both. Leasing is the only way into a *new* car at that point. after a 3 year lease your credit can improve and you might have a larger down payment so you buy out your lease. More expensive in the long term but if you absolutely have to have a low monthly p

I don’t understand planning on buying out your lease from day one. I know people’s circumstances change and your credit might be shit at the beginning of a lease and improve at the end of it. but if your going to buy it just buy it from the beginning! How many people buy back their leases that was planning to on day

“looks like it was built in a shed” is a good descriptor imo.

These wheels are fucking awesome

I am not standing up for anybody.

why not?

Ok, so  the oil companies call  the government’s bluff the oil subsidies get turned off and prices go up now what?

Simple solution  is to make space x send  public telescopes in space.   Make a google earth type system but people can use to explore space.

How about society dumps these “oil companies” and the USA produce and refine our own gasoline / fuel. Get rid of the middleman and get rid of the profit. If these companies cant be trusted to be reasonable we don’t need them. We can ban third party companies from excavating  the oil and we do it ourselves.

How does removing the subsidies lower prices tho? I agree the oil companies are taking advantage but the only other solution i can think of is not renewing leases to oil corps and the government producing gasoline and selling to citizens at cost.

hyundai Kona N line. Its basically a golf with AWD that is just a few inches higher off the ground. This thing is BARELY a crossover. 200hp 7 speed dual clutch and AWD!

I think OP just wants out of a car payment and wants to trade his equity for something still nice.

the best avalon you can get for 27k

nobody buys the oe tires they buy  whatever and take the hit on efficiency.

Loved project gothem racing. the Simulation was very rewarding without being brutally realistic to a fault like other racing sims can be. it just had this perfect blend of Simulation and arcade that just felt awesome to me. Especially the motorcycles! Motorcyles in video games always handled .... badly but PGR was the

I agree with the Principal of what you said but these oil companies have the politicians by the balls. as soon as the subsidies are removed gasoline prices will raise by minimum 2x if not 3x or 4x.  Then all the bad press of the record high gas prices would put the pressure on Biden to put the subsidies back.

I like the way you think but arent the subsidies a way to lower the cost of gasoline for consumers? (weather that strategy works or not is a seperate discussion) Therefore oil companies would then turn around and use the lack of subsidies as an excuse to increase prices and that would then put the pressure back on
