He is also incredibly proud to “balance the budget” on the back of seniors. An estimated 3,000 seniors on Medicaid currently in some form of long term care with no housing or family support will be kicked off Medicaid thus out of facilities.

But you know, with all that extra money we can now afford all these special

Make note, this was during a Special Session, meaning our “fiscally” Conservative governor spent extra money not in the budget to help further his attack on women.

On a somewhat related topic, Nobody Speaks is a documentary made about this trial and I had the chance to see it at a local film festival. It just got picked up by Netflix and will be on there sometime this summer. It is incredibly interesting, I 100% recommend it.

So I live super close to Columbia to the point that our economies are tied together. It is a cool town and Mizzou is a decent school, but yeah I went out of state a lot cheaper than most of my classmates went to Mizzou for. I’m scared to see what happens to the economy up there. They have invested so much money in

Yep, especially right now when state is cutting funding because of protest last year and enrollment is down, you have to keep the few people is willing to give the university money happy. I’m sure taking this rape case and the racial attacks last month super seriously is going to help with future enrollment.

I finally started being proud of my cane. It is purple with old lady flowers on it and I love it. I get compliments on it a lot, but I can’t tell if they are serious or just trying to be more polite than “Why are you using that?” Unless it is someone else with a cane or assistant device.

Oh my god, I hate this! “Have you tried this supplement” makes me full on rage. You are not my doctor, do not offer me medical advice without me asking.

As a 20-something with a cane, I would like to second this! It is an awkward conversation starter and just because I have a visible disability does not mean you have the right to my medical history. Also, don’t touch the cane or me unless you have my consent. It is not helpful, it is rude and gross, oh and dangerous.

Be careful with Uber, it isn’t technically allowed downtown. That said, that is how we travel when we stay there. If you want something fun to do one evening, especially if you get some people from the convention to go with, check out City Museum at night. Seriously it is a giant playground for adults and really

This is me. I took Calc 3 with a bunch of engineering students. I thought the class was super easy, but every time I tried to explain it to my study group they just looked at me like I was insane. I have never known someone that is good at math be able to teach it well.

I forgot to add, most local health clinics have people that can help navigate the paperwork to make sure she has everything needed the first time around. As someone that processes state paperwork, if anything is missing deadlines often become void and it might take a month + to even find out what you still need. ACA’s

So when we went through this with our son here in MO, we had to be approved/denied and our son had to be approved/denied separately. This is because in MO there are different standards for CHIP. We were denied w/ the eligibility noticed rather quickly, however for my son it took 4 months and a call to our local state

As someone that uses a can with an auto-immune disease, canes and other visibility tools might solve part of the problem but open up a bunch more. I am in a similar boat as you, they know it is something, but still trying to pinpoint what it is. Once you have a cane, especially if people know you pre-cane, they feel

It’s okay. I’m going to try calling when they open to try and feel them out.

Nope, we just give a bunch of money to the hundreds of crisis pregnancy centers, but have no regulations while we cut more and more funding to the one PP that provides abortions in the state while introducing more regulations every freaking day. I’m going to call once they open today but from what I can tell I am
